Terms and Conditions

Following successful application, interview and entrance assessment, pupils who register their acceptance of a place are required to pay a deposit (see fee structure).

The deposit is not refundable if your child does not take up a place at the School. The limited exception to this is where the School actually fills the specific vacancy created by your child's withdrawal, in which case the School shall refund the deposit to you less its costs in administering your dealings with the School or a reasonable estimate of those costs. You should be aware that in the event of a late withdrawal it is very unlikely that the School would be able to find a replacement. The deposit will form part of the general funds of the School and does not earn interest. It will be credited against the final invoice for fees or other sums due to the School on your child’s leaving.

This application does not necessarily reserve a place. The reservation of a place is conditional on the payment of the deposit.

If a child is offered a place at the School, such an offer will be subject to the School’s terms and conditions for the provision of education services which will bind us (as the holders of parental responsibility for him/her) in the event (and from the moment) that we accept the place.

Where applicable, the School may request from our child’s present school or educational institution: (a) information and a reference in respect of our child; and/or (b) information about any outstanding fees and/or supplemental charges.

The School may process any personal data about us (or either of us) and our child, including sensitive personal data about our child (such as medical details) for the purposes of administering its list of prospective pupils and its registration, selection and/or admission procedure, including as set out above a copy of the current terms and conditions known as the School’s parent contract. The parent contract is available for your information upon request at any time. Please note that the version of the parent contract supplied maybe subject to change prior to the point in time when a place at the School for your child maybe offered.

Parents and pupils are advised to read a copy of the A-Z for Parents (Preparatory School) or the Parents’ Handbook (Senior School) which describe the policies, aims and ethos of the School. The Handbooks do not form part of the agreement between the parents and the School.

The Headmaster has the right to require the removal of any pupil whose conduct is unacceptable or whose work is not of a satisfactory standard. In such cases, no refund of any part of the term’s fees is given.
