Word from the Director

Welcome to St Andrew’s School, Turi. I am proud to tell you more about this unique and excellent school, where we teach and develop the leaders of the future.

At our school, academic excellence results in demonstrably great academic outcomes. Excellent academic results are the foundation of a great school. I would like to refer you to our Head of Prep School and our Head of Senior School for more information on our academic approach.

Everything we do, we always do based upon our mission: “To be the leading international school in Africa, transforming the hearts, minds, bodies and souls of tomorrow’s leaders.” May I ask you to take a moment to reflect on this mission? It may only be a few words, but therein lies the most profound layer a school mission can encompass. This mission places a heavy responsibility on the shoulders of both our team and our students. We guide them on the journey to becoming leaders who take responsibility for themselves, for others, and for the world and our society. We also see our mission as a verb; our school is constantly evolving to bring this mission ever more to fruition.

Our unique location provides our school, and therefore our students, with opportunities to offer a comprehensive curriculum that meets the demands of our mission. Opportunities that would be unattainable elsewhere. We will use the future ahead to continue exploring how we can benefit even more from our unique location to stimulate the total development of our students – the leaders of the future – and to help them discover their full potential.
