Love in Action is the Prep School charity. It was established in 2009 by Mr John Eames, a former headmaster. The Charity initially started as the Prep School’s compassionate response in support of children and their families in the local Turi community following terrible post-election tribal clashes in Kenya that displaced many people. The charity’s name was inspired by the challenge found in 1 John 3:18: “let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” and the acknowledgement that we are more like Christ when we are generous, sharing, comforting, praying for and supporting those in need.

Turi Children’s Project is based on the Bible verse Jeremiah 29 v11 ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. This verse is the foundation for everything the project does and underpins its vision for reaching the local community. TCP provides hope and a future for underprivileged young people in the Turi community by teaching them key vocational skills and additional education.
Turi Sulgwita’s Lunch Program uses the resources of the Turi Children’s project to work alongside the local primary school. Lunch is provided for some of the neediest children ensuring that hunger is not a problem while the Children’ are learning at this local government school.

Green Park Primary and Nursery Schools started after the post-election violence in 2007. The government resettled victims to Molo and had to set up a school for the children. St Andrew’s was privileged to build them the very first classroom, and since then, they have supported the project in various ways. St Andrew’s is paying fees for needy pupils at Green Park. Senior School students have renovated the nursery school, planted trees and hedges, taught life skills, painted classrooms, fed children and played educational games.

Matumaini Centre is dedicated to caring for the needs of 50 disabled, orphaned, and destitute children and young people, helping them to reach their full potential in life. The centre also plays a vital role in educating the local population about the myths of disability and works with families to support them in caring for their disabled child. St Andrew’s supports the project by working with the residents, particularly in promoting mobility and continues to contribute to the renovation of their buildings.
