Year 9 Geography students Visit Timsales
On 18th April, the Year 9 Geography students visited the Timsales factory in Elburgon to learn about the company’s operations and activities. The students were given a tour of the factory and saw three different production lines, namely the saw mill, the plywood line and the fibre board line.
They were also able to use the Systems Approach that they have learned in class to understand how each production line worked. They considered the factors that are important in the location of the factory and analysed the sustainability of the operation. Everyone learnt something new including the supervising staff; Mrs Lwanga and Miss Ngarachu!
