Year 8 Taster Days
On 15th June, the Year 8 pupils from Prep School enjoyed the opportunity to attend two ‘Taster Days’ at the Senior School. Pupils were able to visit the different buildings at Senior School as well as meet teachers, matrons and other students. This activity helps pupils settle in more quickly and easily when they join in September.
What the Taster Day involved
On Thursday, the pupils were introduced to the Senior School Leadership Team and to the Boarding House teams. They enjoyed a carousel of activities including Maths, Drama and library skills. One of the highlights for pupils was having the opportunity to win chocolate by being the quickest mental mathematician. They returned on the Friday to take part in an exciting day focusing on Art and Design Technology activities, a thoroughly fun and interesting experience.
What pupils felt
Pupils found the experience really helpful and stopped them feeling nervous about next year. They are all really excited about moving up to the Senior School and taking on all the challenges and new opportunities it will bring.
