As a new subject in the Prep School curriculum this year, Drama has proved to be very popular with the Year 7 pupils. They have had opportunity to work together on a range of dramatic presentation techniques in preparation for the Poetry Festival held this term.

 
Voice work has included tone, pitch and conveying the emotions for a character or poem. Through mime and gesture the pupils are also learning to communicate the feelings of a character. Some of the pupils have developed effective characterisation and are able to convey the mood of a character through the way they speak lines and the gestures they are using. Increasing their acting skills will also be valuable for those who intend auditioning for the School Play next year.
