Year 10 Mtumba creative writing trip
On Wednesday 27th, the Senior School Year 10 students participated in our annual English department creative writing trip to Molo mtumba market.
This was an opportunity for the students to act as journalists. They wrote descriptive pieces about their experiences, which formed the backbone of their Year 10 half termly assessment. During the trip they enjoyed buying items of clothing to donate to our school’s charity projects. They also interviewed and interacted with the market sellers.
This was indeed a very enriching experience that allowed the students to cultivate and express empathy and cultural understanding.
