To develop their creative writing skills, our Year 10 students travelled to the local mtumba market on Wednesday 21st of September. For their assessment, the students wrote articles about their experiences on the trip. They embraced their roles as journalists as they recorded the sights, smells and sounds of the market.

They also had the opportunity to interview individuals at the market. This greatly enhanced the quality of their research. The students then put their bartering skills to the test as they tried to grab some bargains and each student bought an item to donate to charity!
