We had an exciting start of term on Sunday as the pupils arrived back from their summer holidays. The day started with a beautiful service at the School Chapel, in which the Chaplain encouraged everyone to keep the faith and continue ‘Seeking the Highest’. The teachers were available to give parents and pupils a warm welcome and ensure new pupils were able to settle in easily.
“Opening day is always an exciting day at St Andrew’s”, said Mrs Wafula, the Prep School Admissions Registrar. “It’s always full of smiles and laughter”. The existing pupils made the new ones feel at home and excited to begin their life at St Andrews, Turi.
The School achieved its best ever academic results last year, with 69% of Year 13s attaining A*-B grades at A Level. This was a cause for celebration for both pupils and parents and everyone felt inspired to perform even better going forward.
Many pupils were excited to see the improved facilities in their boarding houses. We wish all the pupils a happy and productive term!
