Turi shines at County Hockey Championships
On March 19th, thirteen girls from the U19 Hockey Team played a friendly match at Turi, against Njoro Girls who are the current Nakuru County Champions.
The Njoro girls play within the Kenyan National League, so the standards are extremely high. As expected the match was tough and competitive from the start with both teams displaying great skill and determination. Turi’s Brenda Karanja and Lorraine Awori showed exceptional skill and made some amazing saves. Aisha Abdallah managed to sneak in a goal and propelled Turi into the lead. After a very fast paced match, the Turi U19 Girls Hockey team emerged victorious beating Nakuru County Champions 1-0.
