As the Headmaster mentioned in his introduction we are pleased that so many of our current Year 13 students are holding offers from prestigious UK Russell group and world top 100 universities. The School continues to develop the preparation we give to our College students to help them make successful applications to their preferred universities. In the next newsletter Mrs Andwati will write in greater depth about our life-skills programme, but two highlights so far have been the week-long visit from a consultant form New York University, who worked closely with our Year 12’s who wish to apply to North American universities helping them prepare their applications and understand the nuances of the North American SAT university entrance exams. On Monday this week we were visited by a representative from the University of Bristol who spent a full day working with students helping them refine their UCAS personal statements and advising them in completion of their UCAS applications to UK universities. Mrs Andwati has just returned from a week in the UK where she was the only African delegate at a major conference for school university advisors. She has come back full of new ideas to improve our university guidance program which she is planning to implement over the next academic year.
