St Andrew’s Senior School 2018 Inter-House Triathlon

The head of adventure at the Senior School Mr Nicholas Ngare organized a first ever of its kind triathlon at the Senior School held on the 9th of June. The competitions included a swimming challenge that took place at the Prep School swimming pool, a cross country and a biking race both of which involved a scenic route through the school forest.

The Triathlon was an Under 15 Inter – house competition where the boys and girls competed separately. The competitors started off with a 120 meter swim in the Prep School pool, then sprinted off to the Senior school where they tagged off the cyclists who mountain biked 1.5 Kilometers through a forest trail. The cyclists then tagged the runners who concluded the race with a 2.5 Kilometer run through the cross country route.

In the Under 15 Boys competition, the winners’ trophies went to Mara’s David Ngosi for swimming, Athi’s Eddy Akpan for cycling and Athi’s Ryan Rubyogo for the run. Special mention goes to Adolf Mwesigye who participated in both the cycling and running races for Mara house. Mara won in all the Under 15 Girls events with Megan Spragg coming first in swimming, Elsie Kariuki first in cycling and Megan Spragg first in the run. Special mention goes to Mara’s Megan Spragg who swam and ran for her house.
