Senior School Victorious at the World Scholars’ Cup in Malaysia

On 16th June, 16 Senior School students traveled to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia for the 2018 World Scholars’ Cup. The World Scholars’ Cup is an international academic competition where students compete in teams of 3 against other students.

They complete 4 events namely; Team Debate, Collaborative writing, Scholars’ Challenge and Scholars’ Bowl. Having already qualified in the regional rounds held earlier this year in Nairobi, St Andrew’s Senior School entered four teams in the Junior Division and two teams in the Senior Division of the Global Round being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Our junior team of Sisan Kola-Lawal, Thandi Seronga and Sanchia Obi was crowned champions of Africa as was the senior team of Myrah Oloo, Murewa Fagun and Michael Omeke. We look forward to achieving more stellar victories again next year.
