Senior School Pastoral update

Safeguarding and protecting the children in our care continues to be a central part of life at St Andrew’s School, Turi.

In February both Pastoral Deputy Heads (at the Prep and Senior School) attended the AISA conference in Nairobi, an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest issues in the world of Safeguarding and Child Protection. Communication and Co-operation with parents is key to keeping our children safe. With this in mind we will be running a series of talks for parents regarding Safeguarding issues. At the recent VISO we gave a talk about the dangers of ‘Grooming’ and plan to run another about ‘Sexting’  next term. Please see the VISO programmes for more details.

We are grateful to all parents for their patience with regards to the more stringent gate pass system for Viso. Please understand that this is to make sure that the young people who are left in our care are safe, we will continue to develop the appropriate safeguarding processes at St Andrew’s School and appreciate your continued support as we implement these.
