Second Round of the World Scholars Cup in Nairobi
The second round of the World Scholars Cup took place on 12th April at Brookhouse school in Nairobi. St Andrew’s Senior School entered 5 teams from Year 9 for the Junior Division and 2 teams from Year 9 and 10 for the Senior Division.
Our students competed against teams from other schools in 4 events, namely team debate, collaborative writing, scholars challenge and scholars bowl. The students also enjoyed a showcase debate and our very own Ayomide Adesida was chosen to help judge this debate.
They also had the opportunity to participate in a talent show that our very own Patience Saazi brought to conclusion with a beautiful rendition of ‘When you believe’ from the Prince of Egypt movie. The highlights of the day were when one of our junior teams won the team debate competition and when Chloe Ndugwa came 3rd in the Senior Division for her persuasive writing piece.
