President’s Award Students Make Adventurous Journey to Iten
On 21st June, the Senior School President’s Award club members embarked on a one night and 2 days adventure and outdoor education expedition in the Kerio valley in Iten, Kenya. The students were assessed on their Campcraft skills, Navigation skills and Hiking skills that they had been learning at school in the last few months.
This expedition now qualifies them for the President’s Bronze Award, one of the three levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Hats off to all 26 students for completing a monumental 24 km hike in the punishing Kerio Escarpment.
