Practical Biology at Senior School

“One of the most fun parts of the Biology course at Senior School is doing animal dissections”, said Mr Lynton, Head of Science. The photo below shows some Year 10’s dissecting a sheep’s heart. “Students found it fascinating and were surprised at how different it looks in real life, compared to the diagrams in their books”, he added.

Other dissections we carry out include dissecting an eye, kidney and lungs. The Year 12’s were equally fascinated with the lung dissection as shown in the below photo.
