It has been a very busy term for the uniformed organisations here at Turi, with four of the five groups enjoying their camps during the first half term.
Here at St Andrew’s School, Turi, we seek to grow gracious and compassionate leaders for our very needy world. Love-in-Action, our Prep School charity, is at the heart of this endeavour.
The Model United Nations (M.U.N.) simulates the activities of the United Nations. The M.U.N. program aims to develop the confidence of all participants by enhancing skills in research, presentation, debating, lobbying, problem solving and diplomacy.
On Wednesday 13 February the Y11 geographers departed for their last Geography trip of their IGCSE course. They were dropped off at the base of Kiplombe – a dormant volcano that can be observed from the top pitch at Turi.
The U15 Boys Basketball team continues to show marked progress throughout the 2019 season. They recently posted their biggest win in their home game against Braeside.
Three delegations of Year 8 pupils recently took part in the MSMUN conference held in the UN Offices, Nairobi. With around 1,000 delegates representing over 180 countries, the conference was a daunting but fruitful experience for our students.
Year 8 scholars and several Year 7 students got the opportunity to travel to Nairobi for two day art project, visiting different locations in Nairobi to support the children’s art work in class.
