Moving on up for year 13
The year 13 students spent a day off timetable to learn topics that are not covered in the normal school day. It was a hugely productive time with lots of fun too. Much of the focus was on ‘life after Turi’ and this included things like, managing your money, cooking on a budget and staying strong in your personal faith at University. They also looked at cultural differences and creating a positive digital footprint.
The really fun parts were the outdoor games at the beginning of the day and the cooking challenge towards the end of the day. It was nice to see students write memories to their friends that were placed on printed hands around the room. Each student got to take away all the positive comments that were said. It was great to be a part of it and even better to see such a wonderful group of last year’s Turians react with such positivity, engagement and enthusiasm.
