Middle School Model United Nations

Three delegations of Year 8 pupils recently took part in the MSMUN conference held in the UN Offices, Nairobi. With around 1,000 delegates representing over 180 countries, the conference was a daunting but fruitful experience for our students. Representing Liberia, Syria and Norway in four committees, our students rose to the occasion and successfully passed two out the three resolutions we brought to conference.

They developed courage to speak in front of a large group of their peers; clarity in expressing their opinions succinctly and convincingly; and a greater awareness of the many complex problems facing our world today. Perhaps most importantly, they learned about the power of working together to bring positive change. Congratulations to our delegates for their hard work and a fantastic result.
