Love in Action Challenge
At St Andrew’s School, we recognise the responsibility and duty that we have to always think of others, and to use the amazing resources that God has given us to bless those in our community. We want to be a School that is characterised by its generosity and selflessness. Over the Christmas holidays, the Prep School pupils were given the challenge of raising 1,000 Kenya Shillings in any way they wished for our Love in Action charity project.
After returning to school, they had raised a whopping 30,000 shillings with more pledges being expected during the upcoming VISO weekend. The Prep School pupils had a lot of fun raising the money through car washes, bracelet sales, and sponsored walks.
The money will be given to the Turi Service Project (TCP) to help the children it sponsors to continue in their primary school education. The next fundraiser will be at VISO where there will be cake and biscuit stalls. Many thanks to all those who helped raise money for this worthy cause. Special thanks go to Grace Andrews for raising a rather substantial amount through a sponsored run.
