A Level Drama Students Annual trip
On Friday 2nd December 2016 the IGCSE and A Level Drama students went on their annual trip to the theatre accompanied by their teachers- Ms Moodley and Mrs Scott. They traveled to Braeburn School, Nairobi in order to watch the performance of the pantomime Cinderella. Their respective Drama courses require that candidates watch live theatre performances. Students then analyse this in preparation for their written exams.
The trip also involved a workshop on theatre lighting – another course requirement. All students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was made very welcome by the theatre company who made a special alteration to one of their scenes in the play to include a very popular Turi song that made all the students participate in the scene and they felt very special indeed.
After the performance the cast members came out to meet and greet some of our students before they headed off to their parents and guardians for the night, before travelling back to school the next day.
