High Hopes for LAMDA Exams
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) course came to a close this term with the graded examinations that began on 18th May and concluded on 24th May.
There was a wide breath of capabilities and selections of exam courses. These ranged from Public Speaking and Speaking of Verse & Prose to Acting, Musical Theatre and Devising Drama. The Prep School had entries in mainly the communication category with some Year 7 and 8 students attempting the higher levels in the performance category.
Senior School saw more advanced level entries, in mostly medallion courses. LAMDA Nights, which are showcase evenings for high achievers in Senior School, were a great success giving each participant an opportunity to develop their confidence in presentation techniques before an audience. This proved to show the wealth of talent and creative minds within the School.
A special mention goes to Elizabeth Amanya and Sarah Nabirye for their sterling musical performance. We look forward to receiving the results in two months time.
