Hands-on learning
Our students have already taken their learning out of the classroom as they have participated in pastoral, curriculum and service trips. The Year 9s went for a day trip to Kembu to help the tutor groups and year group bond. The Year 10s went on an English trip to Molo to visit the Mtumba with the aim of developing descriptive writing skills.
The Year 9s went on a Geography trip to Sian flower farm to learn about farming as a system as well as the factors affecting the location of farming. The Year 12 Geography students went to Malewa to measure river characteristics. Both the Year 9s and Year 10s have visited our service projects at Chazon Primary School, St. Andrew’s Workforce Nursery School, Turi Sulgwita Primary school, Molo Street children’s project and Green Park Nursery School.
