Engineering Society Visits Wilson Airport

On 18th March, our Engineering Society College students visited the Mission Aviation Fellowship’s hangar at Wilson airport.  They met the Chief Engineer and the Finance Manager of MAF Kenya who talked to them about the science and engineering behind turbo propellers and piston engines.

The students greatly enjoyed exploring the small aircraft at the site. They had a detailed look at the mechanical, aeronautical and electrical systems of the planes. The School is very grateful to MAF and its staff for giving their precious time. The Engineering Society aims to help students better understand the differences between the wide range of engineering disciplines, as well as to gain some experience in some of the key elements of engineering.
