Brookhouse Choir Festival

For four years in a row, our choir impressed the audience at the Brookhouse Choir Festival with a performance that got the audience to their feet in appreciation. This year, we steered away from our usual medleys and sang ‘Joyful, Joyful’ from ‘Sister Act’. Our soloist, Josepha Birungi (Year 8) sang such an outstanding introduction that the rest of the choir was left with little choice but to step up to the high standard already set. This year’s Chapel Choir I must say had the best synchronised moves we have seen yet.

Claudia Kinuthia (Year 4) was the only other performer on the day to get a standing ovation. Singing ‘Opportunity’ from the musical ‘Annie’, Claudia took the audience with her on a journey, which ended up for everybody I believe, recapping the exact scene from the show where the song is sung.

Beyond the performance aspect of our choir piece, what came out clearly was the pupil’s willingness to minister in Praise and Worship to our Lord, which is the reason we always sing sacred music as a choir.
