Book Week 2016

This week, we are celebrating our annual book week which runs from 14th to 19th November. It is being held in the Sayer Hall, where several exhibitors are showcasing a wealth of reading material.

Students have been invited to participate in a variety of fun activities including trivia, creative challenges and a scavenger hunt! The current theme, “READISCOVER”  is meant to encourage the students to embrace a reading culture.

“A few of the skills we will be testing are readership, essay writing and writing reviews,” explained Ms Sussy, the Senior School Librarian. The participants will also have an opportunity to design book adverts and posters. Some of exciting prizes that await the winners include books, magazines, tuck shop vouchers and stationery.

The Scavenger Hunt featured quizzes on books, authors and book characters. These were tucked away all around the School, for participants to find and answer.

The Book Challenge required students to locate a list of books as quickly as possible,  testing their knowledge of the library resources.
