Bigger and better than ever!

The Senior Boys’ Boarding House is bigger and better than ever this year!  A brand new Dorm 9 has enabled us to increase our capacity, meaning that for 2016-17 we have 66 boys in the Boarding House, split equally between Year 7 and Year 8.  This includes nine new pupils who arrived at Turi for the first time in September.  All of them have settled well into their new “home from home”, becoming valuable members of the Senior Boys family.

The Boarding House has undergone further alterations recently, improving significantly the quality of the upstairs bathrooms and shower facilities, whilst a new front door has greatly improved the entrance area, creating more light and space.  Further improvements will see the creation of a new access to the Senior Boys’ Lower Lawn, with a new firepit and outdoor table tennis area.  It is an exciting time for Senior Boys!

Whilst the boys are given varied opportunities for leisure, relaxation and spiritual nourishment outside of lesson and games times, including Ignite and Bible Study classes, access to the DSTV and ICT facilities, and outdoor evening sports, it is also important that the boarding house remains a quiet space for reading and academic study.  We love seeing our boys develop in so many different ways during their time with us, and making the most of their God-given talents.  We look forward to further successes across the full range of boarding school life this year.
