Annual Sports Awards Dinner 2018
The 2018 Sports Awards were held in the Sayer Hall this year, which had been beautifully decorated and set up by Ms Caroline Ngarachu and her team of helpers. The event is held annually to celebrate the successes of the Under 19 sports teams and individuals for the year that has passed, and to recognize the hard work, time and commitment that the students and staff (coaches) have put into the squads and their performances.
As is customary we had a guest speaker for the evening, which this year saw Mr Mike Okidia give his story on how he came to represent Kenya in the National 7’s squad, which was well received by the staff and students alike. Throughout the evening Mr Russell and Miss Mungai played the background music to accompany the meal, whilst Mr Laboso and the marketing team took photo’s of the students, setting the scene for an enjoyable evening.
The event was assisted by Mayieka Okora and Rosa Chiruyi who were MC’s for the evening and they did a grande job. The list of award winners can be seen below, and once again I would like to offer my congratulations to all of them and to all who attended making this such a good evening.
