The Under 19 Girls were crowned league champions last Saturday after beating Hillcrest A,  8.5 – 4.5 in the KAIISSO Rounders final. Throughout the season the girls were very committed during practice sessions teaming up with the Under 19 B team. They put up with the inconveniences of having to do day trips, sometimes leaving school as early as 6 a.m.

Under the able hands of their captain, Zinzi Mogaka and impressive bowling from  Nicole Jean-Louis, the team was able to hold their own in many a match and emerge victorious. Alinde Bahigwa and Aisha Abdallah emerged the top scorers, scoring over 20 rounders between them.
Their results on their way to the final were as follows:

Turi 13 – Hillcrest B 6.5

 Turi 16 – Hillcrest A 10

Turi 10.5 – Premier 5.5

Turi 15.5 – Greensteads 8.5

Turi 16.5 – Peponi 14

The squad comprised of Zinzi Mogaka (Captain), Aisha Abdallah, Nicole Jean-Louis, Sarah Nabirye, Rosine Sanginga, Elizabeth Agoe, Alinde Bahiigwa, Tara Mugamba, Vanessa Lukaza, Lolla Serukamba, Karen Wandie, Bridget Kambedha, Irene Mahuza and Jirreh Sengeri. The coaches were Ms Vickery and Mrs Jean-Louis.
