On Sunday 5^th February, the St Andrew’s Prep School Under 11 boys and girls met for their first tennis tournament this year. The boys played in a round robin draw. In the first match, Sean and Jesse played against Tyrell and John. They later lost in two straight sets of 4-0, 4-0. In the second match, Jamie and Pierre played against Sean and Jesse. Jamie and his partner won this tightly contested match 3-4, 4-3, 4-3. The last match featured Tyrell and John going against Jamie and Pierre. Jamie and Pierre came up on top with another 4-0, 4-0 final score. Overall, Jamie and Pierre were victorious with 3 straight wins and 19 points.
 
Mary Martha, Joela and Chloe played in the girls best of 3 short sets. Mary Martha was first with 16 points and 2 wins. In second place was Joela with 10 points and 1 win while Chloe was third with no win and 3 points.
 
All players showed incredible improvement from last year! The boys exhibited exceptional skill in the volleys and groundstrokes playing with both their forehands and backhands. The participants were awarded certificates during Monday’s morning Chapel session!
