At the discretion of the School, we take children as boarders from the term in which they turn 5 years of age. We have well established support structures for younger pupils in the form of House Parents and Matrons who assist in the everyday issues such as making beds, reminding them to clean their teeth, shower and of course bedtime stories! There is a separate dining room for the children in Reception up to Year 4 which is fully supervised by staff at every meal.
We have two main intake dates - September and January. The majority of students join the School in September, as this is the beginning of the British Curriculum academic year. A smaller number of students join us in January as this reflects the southern hemisphere's academic calendar.
However, as a School we pride ourselves on our flexibility and meeting individual needs and so we will consider applications for admission outside of these dates.
There is a scholarship weekend held in the Easter Term each year for students who are eligible to join the first year of the Senior School (British Curriculum Year 9). Applications are welcome for Academic Scholarships, and for Music, Sport, Drama, Art and All-Rounder Awards. Scholarships awarded range from 10-25% reduction in fees. Gifted music and drama students may also be awarded free lessons on one musical instrument and/or free LAMDA lessons. For more information about the next Scholarship weekend please contact us
