St. Andrew's College
Boarding Life and Activities
Students joining the College in September 2010 will enjoy a new boarding house, designed specifically for the College students. Students will have single bedrooms in a series of linked cluster flats. There will be six students in each flat, with shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom facilities. Each flat will have a patio or balcony with outstanding views over the Rift Valley.
The flats will benefit from access to a shared communal common room, with excellent facilities, including Internet access, satellite television and office areas. Resident houseparents will encourage the development of independent study habits required for A level study and beyond.
A College Committee will help to establish a varied programme of sport, outward bound activities, society meetings, lectures, films, plays and debates, with regular guest speakers. College students will be given greater freedom than younger students, but much greater levels of responsibility will be expected of them.
