Academic Excellence
All College students will choose four or five A level subjects in their first year, which will lead to an AS qualification at the end of Year 12. They will normally continue with three subjects in Year 13 which will lead to a full A level (A2) at the end of their second year.
Entry to Year 12 is normally dependent on achieving at least 5 (I)GCSEs at grade B or above and entry to Year 13 will depend upon satisfactory results at AS level.
The subjects on offer will normally consist of the following: English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History, Psychology, Art, Computing, Sociology, Theatre Studies and Religious Studies. German and/or Spanish may be offered if there is sufficient demand.
