A charitable trust has been established in the UK with the object of raising funds for the purpose of advancing the education of the pupils at St Andrew's School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the school and who is also a UK taxpayer may, by making their donation to the Trust rather than directly to the School, increase the value of their donation as the Trust can reclaim the tax on the donation.
Taxpayers wishing to make donations to the Trust will be required to complete a Gift Aid Declaration form.
Under English law, the trust has absolute discretion on matters relating to the allocation of funds but is allowed to take into account wishes expressed by donors.
